Our story
High Line was founded by Osamu Harima, whose journey in garment manufacturing began in his family’s sewing factory in post-war Japan. His father established the factory shortly after World War II, laying the foundation for a legacy built on craftsmanship, quality, and dedication.
In the 1990s, his family expanded their operations, investing in two sewing factories in Shanghai and Jiaxing, China, strengthening their production capacity and supply network.
Osamu spent 12 years working hands-on in every department of the family business—learning the art of pattern making, cutting, sewing, ironing, and final inspection. He also became deeply involved in raw material sourcing, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire garment production process from fabric to final product.
In 2002, Osamu moved to Denmark and founded High Line to bring his family's craftsmanship and textile expertise to Europe. Since then, he has supported hundreds of fashion brands—from large-scale retailers to niche designer labels—by providing end-to-end sustainable garment production and supply chain services, rooted in decades of experience and global insight.
Over the years, he developed strong partnerships with fabric and accessory suppliers across Japan, China, and South Korea, establishing his own woven and knitting factory in Dong Guan, China in 2012 and 2014.
